In this project the client wanted to turn this room into a storage room followed by an Art room.
Unfortunately the building was a little rushed, so we worked with the client to get it to the standard they were looking for. Around the windows there was a large gap that you could fit your fingers in, plastering was finished poorly, & the built in units weren’t paint finished. We hear about jobs like this all the time and unfortunately It will always happen. Thankfully these were only small things that could easily be delt with, with a little TLC.

Here at Painters in Dublin we take pride in our work. Every small detail is dealt with, corrected and painted to perfection. Around the windows we sprayed insulating foam, followed by precise plastering to sharpen the look & compliment where the window meets the wall.

The plaster was sanded thoroughly, primed and reskimmed. The old skirting boards were sanded back & we primed them it Bloxx It, a Fleetwood product that’s a stain blocker & a bonding primer to assure longevity of the finished coat.

As this was an Art Room, & the client was looking for a feature room finish. Something calming, smoothing, that won’t just compliment the beautiful view of the Dublin mountains but will also inspire creativity.

We decided to colour-drench the room with a separate colour to the woodwork. Walls and Ceilings were painted with Paint & Paper Library – Architects’ Matt Stone II which is a water-based washable paint with low VOC. The woodwork – Paint & Paper Library – Stone IV with the Architects Eggshell waterbase finish.

As mentioned before, we take pride in our work & when we come across a job like this and walk away as happy as the client on the finished product. That’s when you know the job was completed to perfection.
