Any minor repairs, filling, sanding, caulking & 2 coats of paint on each.

Talk to us for details & a tailored painting quote.

What prep do you do (filling, sanding, mould/lead issues)?

Painting preparation can be a long process, as it is dependent on the job. Generally covers filling, sanding, caulking, repairing woodwork, plastering (mostly for settlement cracks or some bigger damages), and mould issues.

Which paints/finishes will you use and why?

Paints we usually use would be branded paints like Farrow & Ball, Little Greene, Paint & Paper Library & Colourtrend.

The reason for this comes down to quality. Branded paints are more expensive due to using authentic pigments rather than traditional latex paints.

They have lower VOC levels and, due to using authentic pigments, it’ll give the property a more bespoke finish.

Brands like Dulux & Fleetwood have also brought their own versions to market

Dulux – Heritage & Fleetwood – Prestige

But this is dependent on the client’s budget, we also work with Dulux, Fleetwood & Johnstones trade paints.

Start date and timeline room-by-room plan? When can you start? How long does it take?

A job plan is dependent on every job. Usually, we’ll go through the house and carry out repairs or prep work before painting.

Next stage we’ll do ceilings and undercoat woodwork on the same phase, followed by walls and finishing with a final coat on the woodwork.

If by room-by-room plan is necessary we will work with the client in the most efficient and least disruptive way for the client.

Start date is dependent on job size and current bookings.

How will you protect our floors, furniture and common areas?

If the room is mostly cleared of furniture we’ll protect it with a Q1 floor protector. At the end of the job, we’ll remove and dispose of it.

Otherwise we use heavy duty paint sheets to protect floors.

As for the furniture, we will add dust sheets over it.

Same as common areas, most household items are carefully placed in a protected area and everything gets protected before painting commence.

How do you handle parking/access in the city?

If private parking is not included with the job, we will just add it at the end of the bill, extra for parking payment or we will just add that into the price.

Do you provide an itemised fixed quote with materials listed?

Yes, if needed we can break the price down as much as required including paints and materials.

Payment schedule and what could change the price?

The payment schedule is dependent on the size of the job.

  • Smaller jobs 50% before and after.
  • Bigger jobs either 3 or 4 phases + extras.

e.g. 25/45/30 or 25/35/25/15

Snag list process and workmanship warranty?

Snagging is usually done during the job, but at times if needed, once job completion, we will walk around with the client and make a snag list.

Clean-up, waste removal, and labelled touch-up pots left?

Any clean up, waste removal is included & we take care of it.
